'Tis the Season

Coming into this holiday season feels like a world away from this time last year. Last year I was in the middle of the icky chemo, my hair had fallen out, I needed a walker or a wheelchair to get around, and I spent most days in bed.

This year I have much to be grateful for. My hair is growing back, I can stay awake longer than an hour at a time, I haven’t touched a walker or crutches in months, and best of all I have been able to travel again and see my family!

In October I went to a conference in Vancouver, BC and convinced my mom and sisters to meet up after the conference for a girl’s trip. It was our second annual girl’s trip. The first one was in NYC, but we were missing Rachel and Jenny. This year we were able to rally everyone for a great adventure and some much-needed sisterhood.

November equals Thanksgiving and I spent this one in Virginia at Sarah’s house. The Baron and my parents also made the trip back east so we had a fun-filled weekend eating buttery meals and visiting the sights and sounds of DC as it kicked off the holiday season.

Haha - the turkey massacre is even better than the pilgrim butter!
